Tim, great to see an update on your blog. I grew up near Tahoe and spent a lot of time camping in that area as a child. Can't wait to tow our Overlander down there.

Tim - The tire mount was on there when I purchased the trailer. I don't know if its original or not. Should not be hard to reproduce it though. Good luck!

Hello,

I have been searching for a rear bumper spare tire mount for my 1960 Airstream and love the one that is on your trailer. Is it original and do you know where I can find one?

Norman,

I purchased it from oasis rv in Tuson, AZ. Try www.oasisrv.com.

Not cheap, but they shipped it no problem and it was what I needed.

Tim, I know you did this work quite a while ago, but I'm wondering where you bought the fridge collar. I have a 59' Overlander that I'm restoring and I'd like to do the same modification that you did here.

I just wanted to mention that it is ok to sew with a machine over those plastic curtain tabs. It doesn't hurt the machine at all!

Also, I resewed my own divider curtains in our Ambassador and used all the old materials, except the rods. I actually made the curtains double-sided, so it was quite thick and didn't need the extra rusty rods in there. I did use the rod on the wall and the handle. It worked really slick.

Thanks Frank.

I've been kinda lazy and keeping this blog as more of the restoration, but now I'll just update it with Airstream related stuff like Rob does!

See ya down the road!

Tim, it is so good to finally see a blog post. The fact that you are actually using that trailer is an even better. I hope to see the coming.
